Ingredients
- 10 egg yolks
- 2 eggs
- 400 g sugar (fine )
- 1 vanilla pod (or 2 tsp vanilla extract)
- 200 ml pure alcohol (or cognac or cointreau)
- 250 g cream
Instructions
- Mix the egg yolks, whole eggs, sugar, and vanilla until the mixture is light and fluffy and a white color.
- Gradually add the alcohol to the egg mixture while continuing to mix.
- In a separate bowl, briefly mix the cream until it thickens slightly, but is still liquid.
- Add the mixed cream to the egg-alcohol mixture and mix again briefly.
- Pour the eggnog into sterile bottles and allow to cool.
- Given its sugar and alcohol content, it can be stored for a long time. May but need not be refrigerated.
