Ingredients
- 4 Pizza dough balls (use the basic pizza dough recipe for a perfect base)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 clove look (chopped)
- 320 g passata
- 1 tsp sugar
- version basil leaves (for the sauce)
- salt (to taste)
- pepper (to taste)
- 250 g mozzarella (preferably buffalo mozzarella, sliced or already grated)
- 1 tbsp parsley (chopped)
- 200 g mushrooms (thinly sliced)
- extra virgin olive oil ( for finishing)
Instructions
The sauce
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Press 2 clove look and add, fry until soft (not brown).
- Then add the 320 g passata and 1 tsp sugar.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- Simmer the mixture over low heat for a few minutes until the sauce has thickened.
The mushrooms
- Chop 200 g mushrooms into slices. If desired, you can fry them in a little olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. You can also use them unbaked. Set aside.
Roll out the dough
- Roll out 4 Pizza dough balls into a round pizza crust, thickness as preferred.
Compose pizza
- Preheat the oven to 250°C.
- Place the rolled-out pizza crust on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the bottom, leaving the edges free for a nice crust.
- Then place 250 g mozzarella on top and spread the mushrooms on top.
Bake
- Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
Finish
- Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with 1 tbsp parsley and some extra virgin olive oil.
- Cut into pieces and serve immediately.
