Pizza Diavola

1. Gather all the ingredients and have them ready to use.

Sauce

1. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan over a medium-high heat.
2. Crush 2 garlic cloves and add them, cooking until soft but not brown.
3. Then add the 320 g passata and 1 tsp sugar.
4. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
5. Simmer for a few minutes over a low heat until the sauce thickens.

Rolling out the dough

1. Roll out 4 pizza dough balls into round bases, to your preferred thickness.

Assembling the pizza

1. Preheat the oven to 250°C.
2. Place the rolled-out pizza base on a tray lined with baking paper.
3. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the base, leaving the edges clear for a nice crust.
4. Divide the 250 g mozzarella, finely sliced 150 g salami and 75 g golden peppers cut into rings between the pizzas.

Baking

1. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crisp and the cheese is melted and bubbling.

   Time range: choose the first timer to check progress or the last for the end of the stated time.

Finishing

1. Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with some olive oil. If you prefer it extra spicy, garnish with 1 tsp chilli flakes.
2. Slice and serve immediately.
