  • 100 gr herb cheese (or goat cheese, to taste)

Instructions

Prepare the Croque Norvégien

  • Spread one side of 8 Slices bread with a layer of butter.
  • Spread the herb cheese on one ungreased side of the bread and place a slice of smoked salmon on top .
  • Cover with a second slice of bread, buttered side out.

Bake

  • Heat a grill pan or croque-monsieur appliance over medium-high heat.
  • Place the croques in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the cheese is melted and the bread is nice and golden brown and crispy.
  • Are you baking for a big gang? Then put the baked croques on a plate and put them in an oven of max 100°C. That way you can bake several times before going to the table.
