Instructions
- Cut the broccoli into florets and peel the stalk; cut into small pieces.
- Stew the broccoli in a steamer basket over boiling water for 5-7 minutes, until al dente. Remove from the basket and set aside.
- Chop the onion and finely chop the garlic. Slice the mushrooms.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
- Add the mushrooms and fry until they are nicely golden brown.
- Add the broccoli to the pan and cook everything together for another 3-4 minutes. Season with pepper, salt and thyme or rosemary, if desired.
- Serve immediately and garnish with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
