  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 150 g salami (spicy, thinly sliced)
  • 75 g golden peppers (thinly sliced)
  • 250 g mozzarella (preferably buffalo mozzarella, sliced or already grated)
  • olive oil ( for finishing)
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional for extra spice)

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients and prepare them for use.

The sauce

  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Press 2 clove look and add, fry until soft (not brown).
  • Then add the 320 g passata and 1 tsp sugar.
  • Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
  • Simmer the mixture over low heat for a few minutes until the sauce has thickened.

Roll out the dough

  • Roll out 4 Pizza dough balls into a round pizza crust, thickness as preferred.

Compose pizza

  • Preheat the oven to 250°C.
  • Place the rolled-out pizza crust on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  • Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the bottom, leaving the edges free for a nice crust.
  • Divide the 250 g mozzarella, finely chopped 150 g salami and diced 75 g golden peppers among the various pizzas.

Bake

  • Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbling.

Finish

  • Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with some olive oil. If you prefer extra spicy then you can garnish with 1 tsp chili flakes.
  • Cut into pieces and serve immediately.
