A personal recipe library
johuys.be preserves recipes so they are not lost and so that others can cook with them. Ingredients, quantities and steps therefore take centre stage. A long story around every dish is not required.
Cooking and technology
The first version of the site was also an exercise in WordPress. The new version uses modern web technology and internal tools to migrate and check recipes. Visitors are not given an unnecessary AI interface; new technology is used only when it makes the recipes clearer, faster or more useful.
Provenance and quality
Dutch is the source language for the content. Recipes and images are checked before publication. External and AI-generated images are clearly identified when they are used.
