Hot Dog with Fried Onion, Ketchup and Mustard

A classic comfort food: a juicy hot dog with sweet fried onions, ketchup and mustard. Perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients
 

  • 4 hot dog sausages
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 2 onions (large sliced into thin rings)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ketchup
  • mustard
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the onion rings and cook, stirring frequently, until golden brown and caramelized (about 10 minutes).
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the hot dog sausages in a large bowl of water....
  • Place a hot dog sausage in each bun.
  • Spread the fried onions evenly over the hot dogs.
  • Sprinkle with ketchup and mustard to taste.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
